On February 29, the final blast was completed by JCHX Bor project at west strike drift at 450mL of Jama Mine, marking the precise breakthrough of No.1 air return shaft and No. 2 air return shaft.
The breakthrough is the 5th long-distance breakthrough crossing multiple levels and covering domains of multiple contractors at Bor project, following breakthroughs between air intake shaft and new service shaft at -450mL, between air intake shaft and air return shaft at -450mL, between air intake shaft and new service shaft at -500mL and between air intake shaft and air return shaft at -432mL. This breakthrough is of great significance for Bor project, as it has completed the final horizontal connection of all four shafts at Jama, increased UG egress, improved UG ventilation, facilitated UG power & water supply and drainage, and enhanced UG emergency response capability, all together laying a solid foundation for subsequent horizontal development and speeding up project construction.
In 2024, all project staff from China, Serbia and Zambia will brim over enthusiasm, sense of responsibility and sense of mission to completely fulfill the annual work targets.
